Vision

To be the pioneering and most dynamic Vietnamese community in the region, converging an intellectual elite, professionals, and a high-quality workforce. We envision the Liaison Committee not only as a cohesive common home for our people but also as a Strategic Bridge for knowledge, innovation, and technology between Vietnam and Singapore.

Mission

Connecting Intellectuals & Professionals: Building a collaborative network of Vietnamese experts, scientists, and entrepreneurs to support one another in career development and foster innovation. Community Bonding & Cultural Preservation: Maintaining traditional cultural activities to provide a strong spiritual foundation and assist the Vietnamese diaspora in integrating sustainably into Singapore. Practical Contributions to the Homeland: Acting as a practical bridge to channel knowledge and resources from our professional network back to Vietnam, contributing to national development and strengthening bilateral people-to-people diplomacy.

Journey from 2014 to present

GIAI ĐOẠN 1 (2014 - 2017)

LAYING THE FOUNDATION & CULTURAL CONNECTION

Jan 20, 2014 | Official Establishment of the Liaison Committee Laid the foundation for community connection through core cultural and sports activities (Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year, Hung Vuong Cup Football Tournament). Established a network of friendly exchanges with local organizations. Initiated a bridge to the homeland through meaningful programs: Hung Kings' Commemoration, Vietnam Summer Camp, and notably, the visit to Truong Sa (Spratly Islands) and the DK1 Rig. 2015 - 2016 | Regional Sporting Marks Expanded the scale of exchanges, working directly with Sport Singapore and the Embassy of Vietnam in Singapore. Successfully organized a campaign to support and enthusiastically cheer for the Vietnam Sports Delegation at the 28th SEA Games hosted in Singapore. Jan 2017 | Organized the 2nd Term Congress

GIAI ĐOẠN 2 (2017 - 2021)

SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY & OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

2017 -2018 | Continuing the Pioneering Journey: further consolidating connection activities within the Vietnamese community. 2019 - 2020 | Honoring Vietnamese Identity Made a strong cultural mark by representing the community at Asia's largest street performance, Chingay Parade Singapore, for two consecutive years (2019 & 2020). 2020 - 2021 | The Spirit of Mutual Support Stood firm as a reliable pillar of support, helping the community overcome the hardships of the Covid-19 pandemic, while continuously organizing activities directed towards the homeland. Nov 2021 | 3rd Term Congress - A New Chapter

GIAI ĐOẠN 3 (2021 - 2024)

PROFESSIONAL ELEVATION & DIPLOMATIC EXPANSION

2022 | People-to-People Diplomacy Breakthrough Continued to shine at the Chingay Parade Singapore 2022. Collaborated strategically for the first time with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) Singapore to contribute to the International Migrants Day (IMD 2022) event. 2023 | Expanding the Strategic Partnership Network Standardized, elevated the scale, and enhanced the professionalism of the entire annual event system (Sports Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Homeland Spring, Truong Sa & Hung Kings' Commemoration). Strongly expanded cooperative relations with major local cultural institutions: National Library Board (NLB) Singapore, Singapore Book Council, and Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre.

GIAI ĐOẠN 4 (2024 - 2026)

HISTORICAL RECOGNITION & AFFIRMING POSITION

2024 | National Recognition & Future Vision Accompanied the nation at the 4th Worldwide Conference of Overseas Vietnamese (Hanoi, August 2024). Successfully organized the 4th Term Congress (2024-2026). Outstanding Achievement: Honoured to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for outstanding achievements in building, uniting the community, and making practical contributions to the homeland, as well as actively responding to emulation movements launched by the Fatherland Front. 2025 | Glorious Milestones & High-Level Diplomacy Shone brilliantly at Chingay Parade SG60, winning the "Best Display Award" (for contingents under 100 performers). Organized and participated extensively in major national events: the 80th Anniversary of National Day (A80) and the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South (A50). Contributed directly to the success of the General Secretary and his spouse's working visit, helping elevate Vietnam - Singapore diplomatic relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (March 2025). Outstanding Achievement: Proudly received the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam for active contributions to the development of the overseas Vietnamese community and activities directed toward the homeland. 2026 | Convergence of Intellect & Innovation Created an academic and technological space by successfully organizing the Vietnam Symposium of Intellectuals and Innovation in Singapore (VSIF 2026). Continued to affirm its role as a solid bridge, making practical contributions to the success of the State visit by the General Secretary and President and his spouse to Singapore (May 2026).
